Investigators said 39-year-old Carol Layton of Burlington set fire to a person's tent while they were still inside. The victim was taken to the University of Vermont Medical Center for treatment.

The victim was treated by the fire department before going to the hospital. Police Carol Layton, 39, and charged her with 2nd-degree arson and aggravated assault.
