Doom: The Dark Ages is coming to the PS5, Xbox, and PC when it launches in May.

The next DOOM game, The Dark Ages, is due out in only a few months and will come to PS5, Xbox, and PC platforms in addition to Game Pass.

The Dark Ages and revealed a lot more gameplay from the upcoming FPS while also explaining some of the biggest changes from past Doom installments. One of the biggest is that this time around there is no multiplayer mode.

Doom: The Dark Ages takes a decade of learning and combines it with the grounded, strafe-to-aim movement of the original 1993 video game.

Doom: The Dark Ages was first revealed during the Xbox Games Summer Showcase in 2024. It’s a prequel to 2016’s Doom reboot that reimagines the shooter as a medieval fantasy. We haven’t seen much of it since then, but Id just unleashed a more comprehensive look at the project, detailing its design philosophy, new weapons, and more.

At the third annual Xbox Developer Direct event, previously-unannounced games and release dates were revealed. And Ninja Gaiden 2 Black came out, too.

DOOM: The Dark Ages is getting a new Collector's Edition that fans of the shooter franchise will definitely want to pick up.
