Cornwall, Devon, Dorset, Hampshire, Sussex and Kent, Greater London, Dorset and Wiltshire face flurries alongside Kent, on January 8.

The Met Office has updated its weather warnings for snow across southern England as the Southeast, Southwest and London braced for the white stuff. The updated warnings run from 9.00am today until 11.59pm Wednesday evening and cover a huge area of the country.

Fresh weather warnings have been issued as wintry conditions are causing travel disruption and school closures. Yellow warnings for snow and ice come into force across large parts of the UK on Monday afternoon, and will remain in place into Tuesday.

A number of weather warnings are in place for parts of the UK on Tuesday, as more snow is forecast to fall across the country and flooding is expected. The Met Office has issued three new yellow snow and ice warnings and another snow alert over the next three days following a weekend of extreme weather.
