The Utah Utes came out flat in their home matchup against the TCU Horned Frogs on Saturday night, falling behind 10-0 by halftime

The Utes and Horned Frogs play for the first time in 14 years in a matchup of two teams in desperate need of a win.

The TCU Horned Frogs (3-3; 1-2 Big 12) head on the road for a late night trip to Salt Lake City vs. the Utah Utes (4-2; 1-2 Big 12) as the former Mountain West rivals meet for the first time as members of the Big 12 Conference.

Utah is reeling from a two-game losing streak and is looking to get back on track versus the Horned Frogs. TCU is coming off a 30-19 upset defeat to Houston, a game in which quarterback Josh Hoover threw two interceptions and TCU scored a game-low 19 points.

Utah Football has officially unveiled its uniforms for the much-anticipated game against TCU, which will be broadcast on ESPN. Kickoff is 10:30 p.m. ET

This isn't what Utah signed up for. It was supposed to roll through the Big 12 as the big, bad, nasty team from the old Pac-12, but it dropped a punchless game against Arizona at home and got run over by Arizona State on the road last week.

Had the Horned Frogs handled their business against Houston and UCF, this would’ve been a prime opportunity for TCU to keep itself in the Big 12 race and maybe earn a top-25 ranking. Instead, the Horned Frogs find themselves desperately needing a win to keep their bowl hopes alive.
