Hundreds of frozen waffle products sold in leading retailers including Walmart and Target are being recalled because of possible contamination by the listeria bacteria, according to the manufacturer.

Check your fridge if you buy frozen waffles. Certain brands of the fluffy breakfast favorite have been linked to a listeria contamination.  TreeHouse Foods has issued a voluntary recall on Friday for its frozen waffle products that are sold at many retailers across the country and in Canada.

Treehouse Foods recalled frozen waffles due to a possible listeria outbreak in a Friday release. The brand sells items in commercial stores across the United States and Canada. The company says the issue was discovered during routine testing at their manufacturing facility this week.
