The moment got real for No. 2 Georgia and No. 7 Notre Dame as they arrived at Louis Armstrong Airport in New Orleans for the Allstate Sugar Bowl. Georgia comes in as the SEC Champion and received a first-round bye.

Two players from each program previewed the Allstate Sugar Bowl and discussed why they’re excited to make history. Tight end Mitchell Evans and safety Jordan Clark represented Notre Dame, while defensive back Malaki Starks and offensive lineman Dylan Fairchild represented the Bulldogs.

Georgia is slight favorites in the Sugar Bowl, but the Bulldogs will be without starting quarterback Carson Beck. Notre Dame, who has won 11 straight games, has an excellent opportunity to upset the Bulldogs and advance to the playoff semifinals.

No. 7 seed Notre Dame (12-1) and No. 2 seed Georgia (11-2) are set to square off in the quarterfinals of this year’s expanded College Football Playoff.
