Darrion Williams scored 16 points, Elijah Hawkins added 14 with nine assists for Texas Tech and the Red Raiders held Kansas State scoreless for the final 5-plus minutes in their 61-57 win on Tuesday night.

K-State lost this game because of a dreadful finish. With the outcome hanging in the balance, the Wildcats missed their final eight shots of the night, and 11 of their last 12. They led by six early in the second half and had several opportunities to steal the game late.

Kansas State’s 5:50 scoring drought allowed Texas Tech to escape the low-scoring rockfight with a road victory.
