India and China have reached a deal on patrolling their disputed Himalayan frontier to resolve a four-year military stand-off, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri said on Monday, paving the way to normalise political and business ties.

Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri announced that India and China have reached an agreement on patrolling arrangements along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) following recent negotiations between officials from both countries.

Last month, the Chinese Defence Ministry said China and India were able to "reduce differences" and build "some consensus" on disengaging troops from friction points.
