Clemson wide receiver Bryant Wesco will not play in Saturday’s game against Virginia as he continues to rehab a recent injury, according to ESPN’s Pete Thamel. This marks the second straight game Wesco will not play as he recovers from an undisclosed injury he reportedly suffered during the Tigers’ win against Florida State.

CLEMSON — Clemson football freshman wide receiver Bryant Wesco Jr. and Tyler Brown are inactive for Saturday's game vs. Virginia. During warmups, Wesco came out with his jersey, sweat pants and tennis shoes on and did not stretch with his teammates.

Clemson coach Dabo Swinney provided an update postgame on Wesco, who is currently working as a co-starter at outside receiver for the Tigers and was second on the team in receiving yards entering Saturday. “Wesco rolled an ankle and couldn’t go,” Swinney said postgame. “He’ll be day to day. Hopefully we get him back next week.”

Clemson will be without one of its top options at receiver for a second straight week. Freshman receiver Bryant Wesco is out for the game against Virginia, Clemson announced Saturday morning. Wesco was also unavailable last week when the Tigers faced Wake Forest.

Also not on the travel roster are linebacker Drew Woodaz, cornerback Corian Gibson, offensive lineman Collin Sadler and defensive lineman Stephiylan Green. Sadler traveled but did not play at Florida State. Green is also out for a second straight game.
