Apple is reportedly developing a standalone app that will showcase games on iOS. According to 9to5Mac, citing sources familiar with the matter, the app would merge the functionality of the App Store with Apple's Game Center.

More than four years ago, Epic sued both Android and Apple over their forcing apps to use their first-party app payment methods. Though Apple was not called a monopoly like Google , Apple is still fighting to ensure third parties, including Epic, continue to pay the 30% so-called “Apple tax” fee on in-app transactions.

The new iPhone developer beta allows users in the European Union to remove key Apple apps like the App Store and Safari.
