PORTLAND, Ore. – The Portland Trail Blazers have agreed to a multi-year contract extension with head coach Chauncey Billups, it was announced today by General Manager Joe Cronin. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The Trail Blazers have signed coach Chauncey Billups to a multiyear contract extension after he led Portland to a 22-18 record since Jan. 19.

Portland Trail Blazers general manager Joe Cronin and coach Chauncey Billups entered the 2024-25 season, their fourth together, in precarious positions. They were coming off one of the worst seasons in franchise history (21-61) with a roster loaded with youth, uncertainty and questionable fits.
