Over the weekend, Cleveland was rocked by a winter snow system that dropped over four inches in multiple parts of Northeast Ohio. Even though the lake is often to blame when the region sees a big dose of snow,

Lake Erie ice-coverage continues to increase and it's now at 91 percent. Lake Erie has the highest ice-coverage since January 2022. Still enough open water for some lake effect snow.

The National Weather Service issued an updated weather alert at 9:02 p.m. on Monday for lake effect snow until 10:30 p.m. for Northern Erie and Southern Erie.
