Nicole Kidman's new movie, Holland, is a good example of the actor's talent in thrillers, but her 2001 gothic horror has an even better performance.

Kidman is back in her thriller bag with a film that slightly pulls in some of her vibes from "The Stepford Housewives." But instead of Stepford, Connecticut, she's living in Holland, Michigan as Nancy Vandergroot where she learns everything in her windmill town isn't quite what it appears to be.

But instead of plying, pulling and pushing, Cave seems distracted by trying to make her colorful directorial vision align with Andrew Sodroski’s pallid script, with Kidman left to pull out inspired bits of pastry-driven character work where she can.
