Sodium Bicarbonate Injection, USP, 8.4%, 50 mEq/50 mL vial, 20-count carton has been recalled due to a potential safety concern with vial breakage and flying glass.
A previous report showed that, without agitation, lansoprazole 30 mg formed a suspension in 20 mL and 10 mL of 8.4% sodium bicarbonate injection within 10 and 15 minutes, respectively.
