The former staffers of the independent video-game publisher Annapurna Interactive, who resigned abruptly last summer following an acrimonious power struggle, will be taking over the portfolio of a past rival, which will be laying off some of its employees.

Take-Two's formerly owned Private Division Studios will now be run by Annapurna Interactive ex-employee, with some expected layoffs to follow as well

Last year saw the entire Annapurna Interactive workforce resign following a dispute with owner Megan Ellison. Four months on, Bloomberg has reported that the former staff members have formed a new company and have picked up the entire Private Division portfolio (thanks, GamesIndustry.biz ).

Private Division employed around 20 staff when it was acquired by Haveli, some of whom will be laid off as part of the plans, it’s claimed. Take-Two established Private Division in 2017 to “publish games from top creative talent in the growing independent development landscape”.
