Monday at the Snapdragon Summit in Maui, Qualcomm unveiled its new flagship mobile SoC – the Snapdragon 8 Elite – which is powered by the company’s 2nd-gen Oryon CPU cores. Qualcomm flew TechRadar to Maui to check out the latest chips, and I managed to track down some surprises that will soon delight mobile gamers.

Asus just confirmed the launch date for its upcoming ROG Phone 9 and we are getting the device in the US way earlier than initially expected.

In terms of the design, Asus calls it the ROG Phone 9 "gamer-centric," with a black textured back panel with the ROG logo, and a unique angular camera bump. You have to give Asus credit -- ROG Phones are certainly distinct from other major flagship handsets on the market.
