The decision was taken at a meeting convened by Eknath Shinde's son and Shiv Sena MP Shrikant Shinde with its office bearers on Friday.

The meeting was convened by Shiv Sena leader and MP Shrikant Shinde. Senior Shiv Sena leaders Milind Deora, Ravindra Waikar, Manisha Kayande, Rahul Shewale and other leaders were present for the meeting.

During the rally on Friday, Shinde Sena MLAs voiced their support for Eknath Shinde as the chief ministerial candidate, a sentiment that was enthusiastically welcomed by the party workers.
