Facebook owner Meta said on Friday it was releasing a batch of new AI models from its research division, including a "Self-Taught Evaluator" that may offer a path toward less human involvement in the AI development process.

Meta's new AI model can enhance the accuracy of AI models that currently rely on human intervention. The model employs similar methods to those used by OpenAI.

Meta Platforms on Friday released an array of new AI products including a “Self-Taught Evaluator” that is able to check the accuracy of other AI models. The model is therefore reportedly able to offer less human involvement in the development process of the AI models.

Facebook owner Meta said on Thursday it had teamed up with Blumhouse Productions, the Hollywood company behind popular horror films such as "The Purge" and "Get Out," to put its new generative AI video model Movie Gen to the test.

Meta has put its generative AI video system in the hands of some Hollywood filmmakers — hoping to build goodwill with the industry and gather feedback on how to improve the tool.
