The Packers wanted to end Josh Jacobs’ NFL-record streak for most receptions by a running back without a touchdown. On Sunday, they did it.

Jacobs corralled the football on a screen pass at the 8-yard line from quarterback Jordan Love and waltzed into the end zone untouched. That play gave the 2022 first-team All-Pro back one receiving touchdown on his 212th career catch and Green Bay a 21-19 lead midway through the third quarter.

In his sixth NFL season, Jacobs finally accomplished the one obstacle he had yet to surpass. It took the running back 211 receptions to score a receiving touchdown, which is the longest streak in NFL history. Jacobs no longer holds that active title thanks to the eight-yard pass from quarterback Jordan Love that sent him into the end zone.
