Units of the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other units of the defence forces hit the Primorsko-Akhtarsky airfield in the Krasnodar Krai of the Russian Federation on the night of 5-6 February.

Drone strikes were reported across multiple Russian regions, including Nizhny Novgorod, Smolensk, Tver, and Bryansk, igniting fires and triggering air defence responses. While there were no reported casualties, an oil refinery in the city of Kstovo, Nizhny Novgorod, suffered significant damage.

It came as Russia and Ukraine swapped 150 prisoners of war each and UK foreign secretary David Lammy met with Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky in Kyiv. A series of drone attacks by Ukraine on Russia's energy facilities have sparked fires in recent days at a major oil refinery in the Volgograd region,

The fire at the Albashneft oil depot was extinguished at 8:11 am Moscow time, the independent Telegram channel Astra reported, publishing a video of what appears to be a burning oil tank.
