DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC) — More Deere layoffs are coming to the Quad Cities. Deere confirmed about 287 will lose jobs at Harvester Works in East Moline, 80 at Davenport Works and seven in Moline Seeding.

The company said Wednesday about 287 employees across three Quad-Cities facilities would be without jobs as of Jan. 3, 2025. The cuts will be made to facilities in East Moline, Davenport and Moline.

John Deere says it plans to layoff nearly 300 employees at its facilities in the Quad Cities effective January 3rd. In a statement to Brownfield, the company said the latest layoffs are due to reduced demand for the products manufactured at the plants.
