The fourth film in the Paramount Pictures franchise has grossed a series-best $422 million in theaters and generated more than $180 million in home entertainment rentals and purchases.

Paramount has announced the digital release date of Sonic 3 for Jan 21, 2025, with physical copies out on April 15, 2025. The wait is over for fans of the Blue Blur! After previous reporting in December confirmed another Sonic sequel was in the works, Paramount has officially announced that Sonic the Hedgehog 4 will arrive in theaters in March 2027.

A release date has been set for the fourth Sonic the Hedgehog film which will introduce some more iconic characters from the video game franchise.

Sonic the Hedgehog 3 is now available to watch at home after becoming the highest-grossing movie of the series. The threequel has grossed more than $420 million worldwide following its release just before Christmas. It sees Sonic form an uneasy alliance with Dr Robotnik when a dangerous new enemy arrives in the form of Shadow.

Paramount Pictures has revealed that Sonic the Hedgehog 4 will release in cinemas on March 19, 2027. Pre-production on the fourth installment of the series was announced the day before Sonic the Hedgehog 3 hit theatres on December 20, 2024.

Paramount has announced Sonic The Hedgehog 4 will arrive on March 19, 2027, Variety reports. The company confirmed the next installment back in December, but we only knew that Spring 2027 was its premiere goal.
