Don’t buy cheap, knock off brands since the data on those cards can be corrupted more easily and you’ll lose footage when the card rewrites (lifetime of card cut short as footage gets rewritten)

Regardless of how I formatted the 64gb cards (exFAT, FAT 32) using my mac the Wyze v3 would not recognize the card. Mar 28, 2023 · It say "No Video at the selected time". If I clear the SD card, it goes back to happily recording video that I then see in "View Playback". I don't do any timelapse or other records. Most (but not all) of the SD cards were new and unused in other applications. "When it reaches capacity, it will start to overwrite the oldest files."

When I put it in my computer, the SD card still had two partitions so I wiped the partitions and the SD card and performed a destructive format (not quick). It took some time to fully format (make sure to use ExFAT and not FAT32 or NTFS) and put the card back in the Cam.

Jan 3, 2023 · Wyze cam v3 Pro will not playback video footage recorded to sd card (consistently) that was recorded while the camera is set to 2k. Tried to view playback during day as well as middle of night since there seems to be an issue streaming 2k during the day sometimes.

Feb 4, 2023 · That is not the reason. You need a high endurance sd card. I have 128 gb high endurance samsung cards in my wyze 1 and wyze 3. Records with no problem. Wyze 1 over 4 years records with no issues. Also make sure you format the sd card in the camera even if you formatted it before.

Oct 28, 2020 · I am interested in the Wyze cam and curious how and if local storage (sd card) and cloud storage can work together? Would you just scroll through an infinite timeline? Are the 12 second clips still being uploaded to cloud even though it's using local storage? In case something happens to the card, it would be a nice back up option.
