As far as the Marriage. I can really only express how disappointed I am at Nate's apparent callousness and unwillingness to even try to get through this as Husband and Wife. Wedding vows apparently don't mean much to some. I can't imagine how Nate's Parents are taking all of this. He comes from a Great, Salt-of-the-Earth Family.

Nate Oats probably could not hurt that kid if he tried, but escalating the situation is a bad look for what's supposed to be the adult in the room regardless. Again, not the end of the world, but also not what you want your coach doing in that situation and definitely worthy of a tech at least.

Feb 12, 2023 · Oats has built a consistent program that wins and competes for championships year in and year out. This is not a fluke resume he has built. He has true staying power. Whether or not he ever wins a natty or final four time will tell, but everything he has done is proof that he is the next great coach in basketball, and probably already is.
