Also black is almost hopeless into BY Luffy since recurring 5c Sabo means everything cant be KO-ed by effects for BY Luffy's board. Blue on the other hand shits on the deck because of bottom decking effects and the op07 event that bypasses blockers

Oct 1, 2023 · As the title says, I recently bought a black Luffy ST and I am currently deciding if keeping it by adding more cards or switching into an entirely new archetype (IE Zoro or Law, cause I like their playstyle). Problem is, many players at my lgs already play Zoro or WB, and the idea of playing many mirror matches, it's not thrilling. Suggestions?

Apr 13, 2024 · To add: BY luffy deck is only strong when it can continually loop their 9K leader combos, which only become active if they're at 0 life and at least 6 Don. So the goal is to build wide enough where you can close out the game in 1 turn while they're at 1/2 life.

Mar 3, 2024 · I'm fine with it being Luffy again tbh. It helps people who are trying to get into the game through starter decks, and Luffy is the main character and most recognizable. The problem is we have 3 different black starter Luffys.

May 9, 2022 · The only part you got right in your post was mentioning that Blackbeard sees Luffy’s true strength, HOWEVER still weak. The reader is the one who was supposed to misunderstand Luffy’s power as being really strong at this point in the story. In reality, Luffy was still relatively weak and Oda wanted to bring this to the attention of the reader.

Aug 26, 2023 · Black Luffy as a leader has seen some play, but the liars I’ve seem don’t use any other cards from the deck. The Koby has seen some use, but at that point, it might be better to just get singles. By itself it’s not a terrible deck for someone just starting out, but a lot of its cards are just outperformed by other black cards elsewhere.

Nov 12, 2023 · When ST08 launched, almost all black players I knew tried to make the black Luffy Leader work, but I feel like we all collectively realized he wasn't as good as Smoker, let alone Lucci. Then, I completely forgot about the leader. Now, I witnessed a complete 180, where the only black deck I see on sim anymore is Luffy.
