Nov 27, 2020 · I have a 99 4 door XJ sport with manual cloth seats. I want to swap out the seats with some leather ones for the driver and passenger seats as well as the bench seat in the back. I understand from many posts that if I am lucky I might have an xj with a power seat harness Plug that is not in use.

Dec 2, 2012 · You can swap the ZJ seats to an XJ frame, but they obviously won't be powered. Without significantly modifying the frames you can't just swap over ZJ or WJ seats without swapping them to the XJ frame. If you want power WJ or ZJ seats the easiest thing to do is find power XJ seats and swap the ZJ/WJ seats over to the power XJ frame.

Apr 3, 2013 · ZJ/WJ seats will swap directly to 95+ XJ seat bases for the front. Power options will correspond to whatever your current seat bases are. ZJ/WJ seat bases will not swap into your XJ.

Aug 24, 2012 · 4) Remove old XJ seat(s), flip and compare with ZJ seat bracket, It was a direct fit here! so I went ahead and bolted up the manual seat tracks to the ZJ base. 5) Throw the seats in your XJ and tighten everything up. Your done!! Mine sit about 1in higher, besides that the sitting position is the same, I'm happy with the results.

Feb 6, 2011 · 97+ seats have much better padding and shape to them than the 96's. They also have the seatbelt receivers bolted to the seat rather than console like the 96's. Both sets work, however in my experience with the 98 seats I put in my 96 the the seat belt sticks in the newer receivers and is harder to eject.

Jan 18, 2021 · The seat base/floor slider is different 1984 to 1995.5 vs 1995.5 to 2001. WJ and ZJ seats bolt onto the 1995.5 -2001 seat base, but I do not think they bolt onto the earlier style, but I haven't tried.
