Ko Jin-young (Korean: 고진영; Hanja: 高眞榮;, born 7 July 1995), also known as Jin Young Ko, is a South Korean professional golfer who plays on the LPGA Tour. By age 22 years, she had won 10 times on the LPGA of Korea Tour, was second at the 2015 Ricoh Women's British Open, and had won the 2017 LPGA KEB Hana Bank Championship. [1]

Feb 11, 2024 · Jin Young Ko is a two-time major champion and the woman with the most weeks as the World No 1 in history. Born in Seoul, South Korea in July 1995, Ko took up the game as a 7-year-old, thanks to her parents.

Jin Young Ko was one of the top amateur golfers in South Korea as a teenager. She turned pro in late 2013 and played on the developmental Jump Tour the rest of that year. She did brilliantly there, collecting three wins and nine top tens.
