Inspired by cartoons of the 1930's, the visuals and audio were painstakingly created with the same techniques of the era, i.e. traditional cel animation (hand drawn & hand inked!), watercolor backgrounds and live jazz recordings.

Jun 15, 2023 · Hard to judge a costume alone when the actor isn't in it, however imo it looks nice. The changes are fine and still look very Luffy-like. I don't think it has to be 1 to 1 to represent the source material properly, as long as it fits the shows tone properly.

Probably the best casual fit Luffy has had. But his final Wano Raid outfit is such a badass take on his original outfits. Bringing back the waistband and the giving him a cape like Shanks and Roger shows that he’s symbolically reaching their level after all this time.

Jan 7, 2024 · It really symbolizes Luffy’s ascent to being on tier with the god-level fighters of the OP world. He’s leading an entire army to take on an impossible fight, against 2 Yonko, something even the Marines would hesitate doing. There are some good Luffy outfits, but this one is badass and shows off our boy’s growth at the same time.
