Then when building the actual eye tower itself, I looked at several reference photos and used World Edit to build all the walls/towers pretty quickly. And yeah, it's definitely tough to get started knowing it's going to be quite a project. When I didn't know how to build something, I usually waited a week or 2 then tried again.

May 7, 2011 · After making one pretty big tower, I want to make the next one after Barad-dur and of course it will have to have the Eye at the pinnacle. So I was wondering how to build one? I have thought of 3 ways so far but they have drawbacks. 1. outline shape of eye with glass blocks and fill with lava 2. use glowstone instead of lava, obsidian "pupil"

Based on the pics that we saw earlier, this is not an actual representation of the original. If you are going to take the time to build something, at least try to be true. Otherwise people will be sticking matchsticks in the ground and calling it the Eye of Sauron. My two cents.
