Apr 29, 2016 · You cannot open a MS Access database in LO Base. You can create a Base database and link to the tables in an Access database. Forms, Reports. and Queries will have to be created in Base. EDITED 30/04/16 If the Access database was created using Access 2007 or later you can get free from Microsoft the MS Access Runtime program.

Goto the folder with your .accdb file. Write *.accdb into the data name field. Enter. Click on your .accdb file. Open. Register if you wish, open for editing, save. You get the .odb file.

Jul 29, 2016 · The file structures are different. You can of course save a LO Writer document as a MS Word document as the programs use the Open Document Format. The format used by MS Access is propriety to MS. Base cannot OPEN an MS Access file and Access cannot OPEN a Base file. You can however in a Base database link to the Tables in an Access database.
