Pex for shower? - DIY Home Improvement Forum
Feb 16, 2010 · Interesting. I'm about to start on re-plumbing my bathroom and just ran into the comment on the Kohler site about copper going to the shower spout (and using only 1 elbow). Our plans are to have the shower valve on the wall leading into the shower instead of underneath the spout. The run from the valve to the spout would be maybe 5-6ft.
Pex on Shower/Tub Rough In - DIY Home Improvement Forum
Feb 1, 2017 · A typical shower head runs about 1.5 gpm, well within the capacity of a 1/2 Pex inch line. On the tub drop, running 3/4 Pex, which is larger than 1/2 copper ID solves the back pressure and dribble issue. Just need adapters to up-size to 3/4" Pex. May 29, 2011 · With that done, you can run pex. At the valve use a MIP x pex adapter (assuming your valve is threaded) Do your tub spout in soldered copper or galv. pipe. Do not use sharkbites there. You want it as rigid as possible or your spout will flop around:wink: Shark bite all of the valve if you want(not the spout). I don't have any real beef with them.
connect pex to Delta Multichoice shower only valve
Jan 11, 2014 · I'm running 1/2" pex everywhere, but I can't figure out now to connect the 1/2" pex to the Delta Valve. See image. The instructions say I can use this with pex, but I'm not sure how.
