Jan 8, 2015 · It's just a mechanic of the game. The spouse's name doesn't change. You can change it yourself, but it will require a cheat: cas.fulleditmode on Type that in before you go into CAS and you can change the name.

Jan 19, 2015 · I just discovered that your sim can get married but not move in with their new spouse. After the marriage ceremony, when the moving screen comes up, just click cancel, and the rest of the process proceeds as usual, except no one has to move. I'm sharing this info because it makes it easier to achieve the "Outlive 5 Spouses" achievement.

Sep 11, 2014 · There is a thread about using cheats to change a sim's name, and it also works for changing life stages too (aging up or down). Follow the instruction in the first post and you will be able to edit your sim in CAS to age them up.

Dec 20, 2017 · It's very difficult to change relationship status of sims that have been played with cheats. Once you've broken the marriage you can use the friendship cheat to make them friends again if that is what you want.

Jun 13, 2014 · If the child is a member of your household, go to City Hall and select change name from the options pinwheel. You get the option for first name, then last name.
