Gorgeous, full-color illustrations by Susan Jeffers grace nearly every page of this classic fairy tale, retold by Amy Ehrlich from the original by Andersen. Oversized hardcover book has half yellow cloth over boards with blue paper over the rest, stamped in bright gilt lettering to spine.

Magnificently illustrated in colour with huge full page, double page and half page illustrations throughout by Susan Jeffers. 4to, publisher’s blue cloth lettered on the spine in gilt, in the original full colour pictorial dustjacket.

Here is a lovely copy of Hans Christian Andersens Thumbelina, illustrated by Susan Jeffers and published by The Dial Press in 1981 as a second printing. The book has no writing or markings and has both a solid spine and a tight binding.

Mar 3, 2011 · Thumbelina retold by Amy Ehrlich and illustrated by Susan Jeffers has been released in a few editions and it is a lovely rendition of Andersen's tale. As I was preparing this post, I berated myself for how often I neglect Thumbelina.
