Mar 17, 2024 · I have a 2018 jeep compass sport. I recently purchased a new main battery and a new auxiliary battery. However, once the auxiliary battery was input and I started my car, a message on my dashboard says “stop safely vehicle soon shut off” I tested the auxiliary battery with a multimeter while the car was on and it seems that the charge is going down, it is depleting.

2018 jeep compass purchased in late 2017. Same thing for YEARS. Almost every year, I've had to return the car to the dealership, and they act like it's a big deal to find out they need to replace the main battery or the aux battery.

I haven’t had any issues with it since I bought it, besides the auto start / stop stopped working about a month ago. I went to go start it this morning and it just clicks, but powers up the radio and the dash. The head lights and all the battery powered functions turn on.

Sep 18, 2021 · Shortly after buying my 2018 Limited I swapped out batteries to a Duralast Platinum with higher CCA and CA specs. Admittedly, the Jeep was in storage for several months (wife drove it from time to time) and I can't recall for sure but I believe my dash showed it at 14.4V. Now that I'm "paying attention" it fluctuates between 14.1 - 14.3V.
