Dec 2, 2016 · Personally I've got a Midwest Industries front sight base rail tactical light mount (MI MCTAR-01), the light could be mounted either at the left or right side of the front sight, I was using mine and works fine before I bought my picatinny quad rail handguard (drop-in non free floating).

I’m not so much looking for info on 3:00, 6:00, 9:00, etc. I need to know how for forward or close the end of the flashlight should be to the muzzle / end of the barrel as to protect it from concussive muzzle blast and from getting darkened and dirty from shooting.

You could source an original and file it, not sure the brand but I think it's Surefire or Warne. Then find a replica Surefire 660 or original and mount it in the 1" ring included.

Jan 29, 2013 · I use the 'cantilever' style rail from the MOE illumination kit at 9 o'clock with a vltor scount mount for a surefire g2. The mount is not offset or anything. The cantilever rail lets the mount/light sit a little farther fwd than a regular MOE rail. I can manipulate the tail cap switch easily with my thumb while gripping the MOE VFG...

Mar 7, 2024 · I have the old version and used it to mount a TLR-1 on a set of A2 handguards. Would recommend trimming the heat shield to allow the screw tabs to clamp to the plastic instead of the heat shield. Something like this paired with a Protac HLX would be a nice setup.

Jun 30, 2015 · IIRC all elzetta products carry a life time warranty. I have the FSB mount on my own rifle and have had no issues with it at all. Also. IIRC the instructions with the mount specifically state to not over tighten the screws. Elzetta makes good kit. They can be found on Amazon pretty reasonable as well.
