CSX ROAD SLUG 2243 entering the yard at Manchester, Ga. CSX Roadmate is a GP30 built into a road slug. CSX 2243 is former B&O 6970/CSX 4170. Exact date of photo unknown. Vintage power on a rail train pausing on the main at CSXI. The first "GP30 slug" I've seen in awhile.

After the wreck, CSX YN3 #2243 and #6473 were never run again in 2008 and both retired!

Most likely the NSs will head towards Chicago, as for the CN units, they are free roamers and will head any direction thier sent. NS 15T roars through the Tennessee hills as the early morning sun lights up the haze.
