The Halle Gate is the last vestige of the second walls of Brussels. It houses a collection of weapons, sculptures, paintings, silverware and curiosities. They present the history of the building, as well as of the City of Brussels, its guilds and its defence.

The imposing Halle Gate has dominated our capital since the 14th century. Today, this last remaining vestige of Brussels' second city wall serves as a museum, but it has fulfilled many functions over the centuries.

Starting Feb. 20, 2025, the Belgian Buildings Agency will conduct renovation works of the neo-Gothic roof of the Halle Gate in order to bring it back to its former glory. As a result, the rampart walk will unfortunately not be accessible anymore from this date until the winter of 2027.
