Best Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon Kayaking Tours? : r ... - Reddit
Feb 3, 2023 · We are stoked to be visiting Iceland in May! We’re interested in doing 1-2 excursions while we are there, and though kayaking on the Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon would be a good one to choose from. Any recommendations on who to book the tour with, or if just renting kayaks is better (not sure if this is even a possibility)?
Diamond Beach and Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon : r/VisitingIceland
Apr 4, 2023 · Jökulsárlón and the boat tours there alone are definitely worth it, and the drive out has many more places to see (Fjaðrárgljúfur, Kirkjugólf, Svartifoss, …). You can see on the official webcam that after being stuck in place for weeks the icebergs are slowly making a comeback to the front part of Jökulsárlón, which means there is ...
Visiting Iceland - Jökulsárlón or glacier hike at Sólheimajökull?
Dec 10, 2022 · If you are picking one, I’d chose Jökulsárlón. You don’t need a guide. The lagoon parking lot is on your left just after the bridge. You can walk around and enjoy the icebergs floating in the lagoon. You can then either walk under the bridge to the beach or drive across the road to the other parking lot to view ice on the beach and in ...

Jökulsárlón ice caves in October worth it? : r/VisitingIceland - Reddit
Sep 25, 2021 · Hoping to visit Jökulsárlón in late October as part of a self drive tour, is it worth doing an ice cave tour here at this time of year? Conscious of our budget and the tours are at least £100 - happy to spend it if it's worth it! Can you see much of the glacier without paying for a tour? Any other suggestions (hike? Boat tour?) appreciated!

The fee is valid for the entire calendar day, so if for example you drive from Jökulsárlón over to Fellsfjara, you will not need to pay again. { for clarity: the Skaftafell parking fee is not valid for Jökulsárlón or vice versa, those are distinct service areas and require separate payments, but Jökulsárlón includes multiple parking ...
Reykjavik to Jökulsárlón + Ice Cave Tour and back in one day?
Feb 2, 2023 · One of the days I had arranged included leaving Mosfellsbaer (20 minutes outside Reykjavik) around 7:30 and driving straight to Jökulsárlón. Then take an approximately 3-hour (even less) glacier tour at 1:30pm. Finish the tour at 4.30pm and drive back. It would be more than 10 hours driving, including braks for gas and weather permitting.
Jokulsarlon - which boat tour? : r/VisitingIceland - Reddit
Mar 3, 2023 · The drive from Vík to Jökulsárlón is very scenic and not to be rushed. When I did the zodiac tour we did the last tour of the day and it was great. By the time it was over, all the tour buses had left and we were able to come down from the high of the boat ride while sitting in peace and quiet next to the lagoon.

Where to sleep between Vik and Jökulsárlón? : r/VisitingIceland
Feb 28, 2022 · It's a drive you can easily do in one day, without too much worries. We booked at Fosshotel Glacier Lagoon, a great hotel just a bit past Skaftafell and a 20 min drive from Jökulsárlón. We spent one day in Jökulsárlón with an Ice Cave Tour in the morning and the afternoon just wandering around Jökulsárlón and Diamond Beach.
