With all SG skills active, KSG does not actually have the highest armor, as her skill is the "Armor + EVA" version instead of M590's pure Armor version. However, it's only a 10% armor loss and is active only 6 seconds every 16.

Aug 25, 2018 · Shotguns (SG) are designed for tanking, much like SMGs, although their primary form of damage reduction is through armor and not evasion. They are also the only T-doll to have base armor stat. Because most bosses deal high amount of damage per shot, it is ill-advised to bring SG to boss fights. Their buff tiles affect MGs.

Stone Wall: KSG possesses the highest armor out of any shotgun, allowing her to take full advantage of her tanking capabilities, whether she's working as the only shotgun or in tandem with another shotgun.

May 5, 2020 · Compare this to an armor/evasion increase that happens only after ten seconds, only affects KSG, and doesn’t prevent health damage. When SAT8’s skill activates in a mere two seconds. Then KSG’s buff tiles only help 2 MG’s. She does have +20% damage, which is pretty good. SAT8’s hits 3 units for +10% damage 15% accuracy which is awesome.

Feb 23, 2020 · A more DPS optimized echelon would also involve swapping KSG for a SG that buffs the entire back row and using Contender as your HG. Since SGs are really expensive, I'm not going to assume you have access to a huge selection, so take what you can get there.
