One of them, Wallace Teruya, waited tables at Kewalo Inn, where the cooks would butcher frogs from the pond nearby for fried frog legs, before opening his own spot, Times Grill, with his brother Albert in 1938.

1943- The old Kewalo Inn restaurant and nightclub located at 1016 Ala Moana Blvd. It was across the street from Felix’s Florentine Garden at Fisherman’s Wharf and east of Ward Avenue, where the Victoria Ward Centers are today. Kewalo Inn featured legendary Hawaiian music stars like Benny Kalama, Jules Ah See, Andy Cummings, and Alfred Apaka.

This 11/22/45 original Kewalo Inn menu has historical significance from a bye-gone era of old Honolulu, Hawaii as well, and it is from right at the end of WW2. The one page menu is made of a card stock and has "flying fish" displayed in the menu background.
