Lake Tugalo - Advice - Paddling.com
Feb 1, 2008 · Lake Tugalo was absolutely gorgeous. We paddled up the chattooga side of the lake until we reached the last rapid on section 4. As it happened, we saw a couple of guys paddle the last rapid. It was very beautiful. I’ve paddled section 3 1/2 and that part of the lake brought back memories of the chattooga.
Lake to Lake Paddle Challenge - Why are canoes so unpredictable?
Nov 13, 2024 · I don’t have a lot of experience in solo racing canoes, but I did have a J-200 for a while. They don’t like to turn, and they are tough if you get turned sideways in the current, as you see at about 9:45 when the guy goes sideways into the stainer.

Fontana Lake, NC - Advice - Paddling.com
Sep 22, 2008 · The lake is somewhat lower than summer, but it’s still a great paddle. Depends on how far your wanting to go. Hazel Creek is a great destination…put in at Cable Cove off of hwy 28…go straight across the lake and turn right on the otherside of the point. The point is straight out from the boat launch. It’s about a 4 mile paddle to Hazel.

Lake Hickory Water Temps - Advice - Paddling.com
Oct 19, 2008 · I have seen Lake Hickory have highs in the mid-80’s and a low of 48 in February. I wear NRS hydroskin and I am only comfortable for a couple of minutes in the water at the lowest temperatures. But that is all it takes for me to get out of the water. Lake Hickory water temps are comparable to those at Stumpy Point, Lake Norman, NC.

May 28, 2013 · I wqs recently up in Lake Chelan in Washington. I am curious if it is practical to paddle a Kayak from the 25 Mile State park on the west side of the lake, north to Stehekin (and back)?
