Obesity dosing of lovenox gets funky. Really should probs do 0.8-0.9 mg/kg for the bid dosing or like 1.3 mg/kg for the once daily dosing. Obesity does qualify our patents for drug monitoring at our institution.

Nov 29, 2022 · If you can use Lovenox, use it. If kidney function, cost, or some other issue is a problem, you can usually use regular old heparin instead. Lovenox is more patient-friendly than heparin due to the dosing frequency and the prefilled syringes. Easy to use! But can be expensive for some insurance plans.

Jun 17, 2023 · I have to be on lovenox my entire pregnancy. Menopur never hurt or stung for me but lovenox stings. There are ways to mitigate the sting. I also notice if I do it in the morning vs before bed, it seems to hurt less. Also pull/stretch the skin vs. Pinching a fat fold resulted in less bruising for me.

Apr 24, 2021 · Hey there!! Bilateral Obstetric PE during this pregnancy around 8/9 weeks and I’ve was on lovenox 2x a day. Surprisingly, no issues/pain with those injections. Switched to heparin at 36 weeks and its been a nightmare. Lots of bruises, and pain- not to mention we are adjusting dosage!! Also lovenox was easy with pre-filled syringes.
