The Red Canyon Visitor Center sits on the southern rim of the Red Canyon above the Flaming Gorge Reservoir overlooking a stunning view into the 1,631 foot canyon. The design of the building was to feature this magnificent view in a safe setting for visitors.

Pink Ledges Trail #33074 is an interpretive trail that begins and ends near the Red Canyon Visitor Center. The Pink Ledges Trail is an easy to moderate half mile hike beginning at the restored Podunk Guard Station and ending at the Hoodoo Trail junction west of the visitor center.

Red Canyon Recreation Area offers many different opportunities in beautiful red rock setting. There is a wonderful Visitor Center there to answer any questions you may have about the Powell Ranger District and the surrounding area.

The Red Canyon Bicycle Trail can be used to make a nice 1.5 mile round trip hike. Picnic tables are available at the Red Canyon Visitor Center. Printable map and guide

The Golden Wall Trail is located in Red Canyon and south of the Red Canyon Visitor Center. Drive east approximately 4 miles from US 89 on SR12. There is a pull off located on the right hand side of the road where parking is available.
