The AMD Ryzen 7 2700X is a desktop processor with 8 cores, launched in April 2018, at an MSRP of $329. It is part of the Ryzen 7 lineup, using the Zen+ (Pinnacle Ridge) architecture with Socket AM4. Thanks to AMD Simultaneous Multithreading (SMT) the core-count is effectively doubled, to 16 threads.

Aug 30, 2023 · If you cant find a Ryzen 5 3600 or better for an equivalent price, go for it. If it doesn't cost a lot more to go Ryzen 5 3600 or better, go with that instead, the step up between second and third gen ryzen in gaming is pretty large

Mar 20, 2024 · So, for context: I still have my old 2018 PC (32 gigs of ddr4 ram, Ryzen 7 2700X, Zotac's 1060 3GB, and an Asus Prime A320M K-BR), and it's working great for my use, except for the graphics card, which started dying a few weeks ago and completely died yesterday. So, I was forced to buy a new GPU.

I have a Ryzen 7 2700X and ordered a rx 7800 xt (amd fanboy), would that two parts run 240 or over 240fps in 1080p and 1440p low gaming (fortnite, cs2, warzone, assetto corsa). I am on the competitive side. Thank you in advance!

Sep 14, 2020 · Thank you all for commenting, you encouraged me to try 2700x in a b550 just to update bios. Just Confirming. I updated BIOS on Asus Prime B550m-A yesterday with Ryzen 7 2700X from version 1203 to version 2423. Now I can run Ryzen 5 5600G without any problem. Before updating Bios it didnt even post. I hope I helped someone 🙃😉

Ryzen 7 2700X is an old processor. If you compare it to a much newer processor (i.e. Ryzen 7 5800X or Core i7-11700K) then Ryzen 7 2700X doesn't look so good. Reply reply
