A 2700X paired with 2400 MHz RAM will be ok for 60 FPS gaming. But if you have a 144+ Hz monitor, 2400 MHz RAM will be holding you back significantly. Going from 2400 MHz to 3200 with tight timings, or 3600, should get you 15-20% more FPS in the most CPU-demanding titles.
