Jan 21, 2019 · Can you tell me why my skype doesn't give any sound on chat notifications? I have win 10 pro desktop. All sounds are working fine on call and etc. The problem here is no sound on chat notification when Skype is on the taskbar. But it shows message coming notification on the taskbar icon. But no sound. Any clue?

Jun 23, 2014 · The Skype app was last updated about a month ago (May 20th) - has the problem been going on that long? You could try rebooting into Recovery mode and clearing the system cache - it's unlikely to fix this problem but it won't hurt and it's quick to do.

Feb 21, 2021 · I have Skype for Windows 10. There are no options to control the volume for notification sounds either in app or the Volume Mixer on Taskbar. What am I missing? Shouldn't the Volume Mixer show a volume controller for when a sound is played by the Skype app so that I can turn it down or up?

I listen to Pandora (via Chrome on Windows 10) when working. When I adjust the volume using the popup controller in the system tray, I get a notification sound, presumably to signal the change and also to give me a sample of the new volume. This is fine. What's not fine is that the background audio is muted for several seconds.

Jul 4, 2014 · If you go to Conversation > Notification settings Then you can select to never get notifications, or only get them if a special keyword is selected, for example i do so with my name, so if they mention me, i will get a notification, quite useful ;)

Mar 9, 2010 · I was wondering if anyone else has noticed this "problem". I'm used to all my other phones setup so that when the headphone jack is plugged in all sound goes there. I was sitting in the office and noticed that the notification seemed loud and when I took off my headphones noticed that was because the notification came through the speakers.
