Welcome to Spearfish Middle School SMS was established in the fall of 1992, which created the opportunity not only to change physical location but to adopt the middle school philosophy for grades 6, 7, and 8.

That mission begins with our primary schools and is met with our approach to provide for and educate the whole child, focusing on positive behavior supports and a broad curriculum including music, technology, physical education, art, and a strong core curriculum.

Creekside Elementary provides educational opportunities for grades 3, 4, and 5 in the Spearfish School District. Creekside staff and students strive to achieve not only academically, but also socially and emotionally.

To be eligible to participate in extra-curricular activities at Spearfish High School a student must be passing all classes (D- or better). Grades will be evaluated at each grade reporting period, midterm, quarter and semester.
