Feb 17, 2008 · Thank you for the quick responses. I should have been more specific. Standing Rules, we are considering getting a sublimation printer for promotional items, mugs and such. I was thinking as long as we had it, if it would be reasonable to print the decals on the sublimation printer and then putting it through the versacamm to cut.

Sep 8, 2009 · Kiln fired decals will definitely last longer than any other method. Dye sublimation has come a long way. The new hard coatings are very, very good. The coating is the key. The complexity of your graphic and the quantity will determine which method will be suite your needs.

It will handle multiple washes through the dishwasher, but if you do use it on kitchen ware, remember sublimation inks aren't FDA approved.

Dec 27, 2018 · Standard white HTV is made from polyurethane and can accept sublimation inks. Some of the problems you may have are: 1. You can't print directly to the vinyl as the top surface is under the clear carrier sheet. 2. You can print on sublimation paper, then lay your transfer over the pre-pressed vinyl and press it again.

May 23, 2012 · These are decals made with special toner placed over the tiles then fired in a kiln. These tiles can be made from Home Depot tiles. Equipment (lasers or copiers) to make the decals are $$$ though. I visited the first link below in person before as they are local to me. Feb 19, 2011 · If I'm doing sublimation transfers/shirts I put brown kraft sheet or butcher paper inside the shirt so as not to get bleed to the back. If I'm doing regular transfers on cotton shirts I don't put anything between - no need.

Jan 30, 2022 · You probably mean the ET-15000. It is just an Epson EcoTank printer, much like any other. It gets so much mention only because it is the cheapest EcoTank that can print up to 13" wide, which is a feature desired for many uses, but of no interest at all to others (like sublimation mugs, where a standard 8.5" width is more than enough).
