Aug 27, 2023 · As for the Taurus in general - my experience with them upto shooting my friend's G2 was dismal at best. The earlier generations - the PT111 / 111Pro were dogshit. When my grand dad decided he wanted to upgrade to a semi-auto from his 5 shot S&W, he bought one. We went shooting. His first PT111 had a broken ejector right out of the box.

They're just not for me and I don't think I'll ever buy another one. I know there was a time when Kimber was making bad pistols but I've never bought one.

Jul 10, 2024 · Hello everyone. I've owned a Taurus Public Defender Poly for a couple of years now. I've shot about 200 rounds of 45LC and 100 rounds of various 410 shotshells. That's not really a lot of lead down range, but at this point, the gun is still very solid and doesn't show any wear. It definitely shoots better with the Pachmayr grips.
