Let's add Stargates to Minecraft... in a different way. The Stargate is an ancient (pun intended) device, which can't be crafted, but rather must be found in the world. It allows for instantaneous travel between Planets (Dimensions).

Stargate Journey is a mod for Minecraft with many additions, such as several dimensions, items, and obviously - Stargates. This project is in early development, and a lot of stuff still needs to be implemented. Things may be buggy, unfinished, or unobtainable in survival.

Stargate Journey aims to replicate the exploration aspect of the Stargate franchise. That is why you won’t be able to create Stargates immediately. You will have to find and learn to make them along the way. This guide will try its best to provide hints on how to proceed through the mod.

Addresses of other worlds can be found on Abydos. Another planet where more addresses can be found is Chulak.

Around the desert are scattered rock formations which have been dug out and inside is a room containing a Cartouche. This Cartouche may hold one of many Addresses to End, Nether, Chulak and a number of other dimensions you may have if you've installed other mods.

Technology from Stargate Journey (mainly Stargates) can be controlled with computers from ComputerCraft. This is achieved through the use of Interfaces, which, as the name suggests, interface with alien technology and enable you to control it. They can read information from a Stargate and provide a redstone signal with a comparator.
